Point of view is basically whose eyes we see the film through. This is usually the same person telling the story. We do not always see the film from only one character’s point of view. It may change over the course of the film but we usually see the story unfold through the eyes of the main character. Point of view will shift when the main character is not in the scene.

It is also possible to have a point of view that is not contained within the film such as a ‘third person’ or ‘neutral’ point of view.
